Everything about Cani Al totally explained

Caniçal (pron. ) is a parish in the district of Machico in the Madeira Islands. The population in 2001 is 3,893, its density is 339.7/km² and the area is 11.46 km². It is located on a road linking to Machico. It is located about 20 km NE of Funchal, 20 km ESE of Santana and 52 km E of Porto Moniz The main industry are agriculture and fishing. It is connected with a road linking westward to the main roads linking to Funchal and to Santana. The Atlantic Ocean is to the north and south. The mountains are to the west. There are a few mountaintops including one in the southwest which a road runs in the middle and one northwest of Caniçal. The embankment which is about 5 km long lies to the northwest. The area features a lot of small islands and rocks located in the northeast and especially to the east which the two large islands include Ilhéu de Agostinho and Ilhéu de São Lourenco (Portuguese meaning Saint Lawrence which features many rocks including a large one to the east. There are a few dry creeks within Caniçal. The highest point is around 800 m. More mountains lie to the west in the area of Ribeira Seca and has a few mountain roads. Part of the mountain are forested. The area also has several creeks and streams that are mainly dry.
